HOW LONG DO ORDERED GOODS LAST?
We recommend consumption within 24 hours of receipt for maximum satiation and product appeal, regardless of pick-up or to-ship and will only be liable within this timeframe. However, shelf-life in original packaging averages 3 days at room-temperature, 5-8 days in the fridge, and up to 1-2 weeks in the freezer. *Fun fact, one customer has kept and consumed her goods after 3 weeks in the fridge. HOW ARE GOODS PACKAGED?
We individually wrap each piece in a to-ship order! Each serving is separately bagged and heat sealed in order to maintain freshness and to preserve product quality. You can find our process on our Youtube/Instagram/TikTok/Yelp/Facebook. For pick ups, items are packaged in materials deemed necessary.
HOW DO I STORE / CONSUME MY ORDER?
Dry goods (without fillings: cookies, castellas) -> dry at room temperature or fridge/freezer to extend shelf life. Defrost if freezing.
Microwave or toast until warm for soft cookies and fluffy cakes
Glazed / Iced goods (madeleines/loaves/cubes) -> dry at room temperature or fridge/freezer to extend shelf life. Defrost if freezing.
Room temperature (and shared with friends!)
Filled / Layered goods (puffs/cupcakes/cakes) -> fridge if consuming within 2-3 days, freezer if longer. Defrost if freezing.
Cupcakes / Cakes -> from the fridge, cream is fluffy and set but not stiff
Puffs -> from the freezer slightly defrosted but still chilled

For completion date, please put down the date you would like to pick up. Status updates will be given upon request. Please allow for flexibility in the shipping schedule, we’re a small operation and do not have the same access to shipping logistics as larger manufacturers!

*We provide measurements in inches on the order forms and give general sizing. There will be minor discrepancies within exact measurements given the chemical processes that undergo in the oven.

AFTER BY TORI first began as Tori’s Desserts, in the heated summer of 2012, when I finally decided to turn hobby into philanthropy. It went from baking for fun and experimentation (all self-learning) in early middle school to blogging (check us out at Baking Over Borders on WordPress!) to then selling my baked goods. I sold almost anything and everything I could make, sending off satchels of cookies to church for the holiday season, tins and tins of muffins, and glossy slices of cake. I catered for specific potluck events and sold plates of macarons at a local Bagel Street Cafe, out of the owner’s kindness.
We found every opportunity to insert ourselves - summer camps, high school club events, family gatherings. We continue to annually donate to UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital today, a selected choice from 2014 that continues to be our priority because of the impact we believe our profits can make for others. Baking today takes on a different, better meaning than it did back in middle school.
SINCE MARCH OF 2020…
After By Tori is sending boxes of pastries to hospital staff around the Bay Area of California. We’ve stopped by mainly emergency departments, psychiatric units, and senior care living facilities (notable units: UCSF SF ED, UCSF Benioff Oakland Children’s Hospital, Kaiser San Ramon / Dublin, Sutter Health, and more!) While we are continuing to give annually, we would like to support staff as part of our initiative to connect our local communities during these trying times.
Rounded out a $27K fundraising effort on Go Fund Me to support organizations fighting anti-Asian hate.
